Healthy Communities for Arizona

Where we live, learn, work and play has a greater impact on how long and how well we live than individual behaviors or health care. To improve the health and well-being of Arizonans, we know that we must change the underlying conditions where people live.

The Arizona Partnership for Healthy Communities is a statewide collaboration of more than 30 nonprofits, foundations, businesses, and government agencies. Our vision is an Arizona where all communities are healthy places to live.

Learn more about the Live Well Arizona Incubator, our collaboration with Vitalyst Health Foundation, designed to catalyze place-based, cross-sector collaborations that tackle opportunities to improve community well-being and health. Applications are due October 16, 2020.

Register today for our September 29th “Rethinking Public Spaces” online forum , a panel discussion about both challenges and opportunities we’ve seen during the pandemic in using our streets, parks, and other public places to allow for physical activity and safe gatherings.

About the Partnership

The Arizona Partnership for Healthy Communities plans to create multi-sector collaborations by bringing together the public health, housing, transportation, community development, and economic development fields. Our unique approach brings the private and public sectors together to ensure that banks, health insurers, and health care providers are active partners alongside the government and nonprofit sectors.
