Healthy Communities for Arizona
Where we live, learn, work and play has a greater impact on how long and how well we live than individual behaviors or health care. To improve the health and well-being of Arizonans, we know that we must change the underlying conditions where people live.
The Arizona Partnership for Healthy Communities is a statewide collaboration of more than 30 nonprofits, foundations, businesses, and government agencies. Our vision is an Arizona where all communities are healthy places to live.
Meet the five teams joining the 2021 Live Well Arizona Incubator cohort. The Incubator — a joint endeavor between the Arizona Partnership for Healthy Communities and Vitalyst Health Foundation — supports teams building their way to community-driven collaboration to address place-based health and well-being.
The recording from our January 7th “Pre-emption and Public Health” online forum is now available. Listen to Arizona experts discuss how pre-emption interferes with the ability of local leaders to address the needs of their communities by enacting policies that best serve the health and well-being of their communities.
About the Partnership
The Arizona Partnership for Healthy Communities plans to create multi-sector collaborations by bringing together the public health, housing, transportation, community development, and economic development fields. Our unique approach brings the private and public sectors together to ensure that banks, health insurers, and health care providers are active partners alongside the government and nonprofit sectors.
